  • Keep all documentscopies of the PIR, boarding pass, luggage tags.
  • Contact the airlineby submitting a written report as soon as possible.

Yes. If your luggage comes delivered days lateyou may have had to buy basic necessities (clothes, hygiene products, etc.). These costs, properly documented with receipts, can be covered by the claim. The airline is obliged to cover reasonable expenses incurred during the wait.

  • Fill in the RIP immediately upon arrival, indicating the extent of the damage.
  • Send photos and evidence of the damage to the airline.
  • You can ask for the refund for repair or, if necessary, replacement of the case.
  • In the event of major damage, there may be additional compensation for valuables (if declared before the flight).

Times may vary depending on national regulations and company conditions, but as a rule:

  • Damaged baggageSend your complaint within 7 days of delivery.
  • Delayed baggageusually within 21 days of the actual arrival of the luggage.
  • Lost luggageAfter 21 days, the baggage is considered officially lost and you are entitled to compensation.
